Abstract

Consequently, reduction of encapsulated refrigerant can not be detected from decrease of low pressure. In order to avoid the situation, a delivery thermo 27 is turned off to stop operation of an air conditioner when the delivery temperature of a compressor 4 rises to a specified level, e.g. 110 deg.C, when the bypass circuit 3 is operating. The temperature of 110 deg.C corresponds to a point where the quantity of encapsulated refrigerant is about 6 kg/cm<3> and substantially corresponds to the timing for turning a low pressure switch off in a general machine having no bypass circuit 3.
