Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide normal restarting of a refrigerating cycle for vehicle air conditioner, by preventing refrigerant liquid from returing to the compressor after the compressor is turned off.
CONSTITUTION: In a refrigerating cycle including a compressor 1, condenser 2, liquid receiver 3, expansion valve 4 and evaporator 5 in this order, the liquid receiver 3 is placed at a position lower than the compressor 1, and a bypass 7 having a check valve 6 in it is fitted between the evaporator 5 and the liquid receiver 3. The liquid refrigerant in the receiver 3 is discharged due to high pressure of the condenser 2 immediate after the compressor 1 is interrupted and remains in the evaporator 5 to balance pressure in the cycle. Then as the pressure in the evaporator 5 increases due to surrounding heat, the liquid refrigerant in the evaporator 5 is pushed outside. Since the check valve 6 is opened at his moment, most part of the liquid refrigerant goes to the liquid receiver 3 instead of going to the compressor 1.
