Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an air conditioner, in which it is enabled to switch operation of the air conditioner between demoisturing operation with slight cooling of air and demoisturing operation with slight heating of air, by changing the flowing direction of cooling medium.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of demoisturing operation of air conditioner with slight cooling of air, cooling medium discharged from compressor 1 is passed through four- way valve 2 and introduced into outdoor heat exchanger 3 where cooling medium releases heat and is condensed. Then, cooling medium is passed through check valve 4 and electromagnetic valve 9 and introduced into a first indoor heat exchanger 7 where heat is released from the cooling medium. Thereafter, pressure of the cooling medium is reduced at demoisturing throttle means 10, and in a second heat exchanger 81 cooling medium is evaporated and demoistured, whereafter it is returned to compressor 1. At the time of demoisturing operation with slight heating of air, on the other hand, cooling medium discharged from compressor 1 is passed through four-way valve 2 and introduced into the second heat exchanger 8, where it releases heat and is condensed. Then, pressure of cooling medium is reduced at said means 10, and in the first heat exchanger 7, it is evaporated and demoistured. Thereafter, it is returned to compressor 1 via the first electromagnetic valve 9, heating throttle means 5 and outdoor heat exchanger 3
