Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a comfortable air conditioning by the air conditioner in which one outdoor unit is connected to a plurality of indoor units by lengthening the time period for opening a hot gas bypass solenoid valve as the room temperature approaches a preset value, thereby decreasing gradually the compressing function of the compressor.
CONSTITUTION: The outdoor unit 8 comprises the compressor 1, bypass circuit 2, hot gas bypass solenoid valve 3, outdoor heat exchanger 4 and the like. The outdoor unit 8 is connected with the plurality of indoor units 9aW9c including the same number of indoor heat exchangers 7aW7c through the solenoid valves 5aW5c and a connection port 10. The solenoid valve 3 is controlled by a logical sum signal of the output from a control circuit 24a and the like provided in the respective indoor units 9aW9c. The control circuit 24a comprises a temperature difference detecting circuit 11a detecting a difference between the respective room temperature and a preset value, a driving circuit 12a turning on or off the compressor motor in response to the difference detected by the circuit 11a, and a control circuit 13a varying the duty cycle of the valve 3 in response to the above-mentioned difference.
