Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the influence due to sharp variation of the number of revolution by detecting the temperature of intake gas by use of a sensor and comparing said temperature with the set temperature, then operating a capacity switching mechanism when the both temperatures accord with each other. CONSTITUTION:A variable capacity compressor 2 is driven by an engine 1, and allows coolant gas to circulate from a discharge port 43 to an intake port 40 through a condenser 3, receiver 4, expansion valve 5, and the evaporator 6. A temperature sensor 13 for detecting the temperature of intake gas is fitted in the conduit 12 leading to the intake port 40. When the temperature of intake gas decreases as time passes immediately after the start of operation of the compressor 2, the operation of the compressor is switched from 100% to 50% through the operation of the sensor 13. When the temperature of intake gas decreases to the set value, the compressor stops its operation.
