Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent cold draft and perform comfortable air conditioning, by detecting the difference between the room temperature and a set temperature and by controlling the flow rate of coolant to automatically reduce the refrigeration capacity when the temperatue difference is small.
CONSTITUTION: When the difference between the room temperatue and the set temperature increases, the calorific power of a heater H rises and the degree of opening of an expansion valve 9 is heightened through a thermosensitive cylinder 10. Then, the flow rate of coolant to an interior coil 7, which serves as an evaporator, increases and the degree of overheat of coolant gas at the outlet port of the coil 7 decreases. Therefore, the evaporation capacity of the interior coil and the refrigeration capacity of a compressor rise. When the temperature difference decreases and the calorific power of the electric heater H falls, the evaporation pressure in the interior coil 7 drops and the degree of overheat of coolant gas at the outlet port of the coil 7 increases. Thus, the evaporation capacity of the interior coil 7 and the refrigeration capacity of the compressor 4 fall. Thereby, cold draft is prevented from taking place when the room temperature approaches the set temperature in cooling.
