Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal rise of discharge air temperature by providing a bypass oil supply pipe, which is capable of supplying oil to a screw compressor main body from an oil separator without passing through an oil cooler, with a valve controlling oil amount. CONSTITUTION:A bypass oil supply pipe 12 is provided which is capable of supplying oil from an oil separator to a screw compressor main body 1 without passing through an oil cooler 4. On this pipe 12, a bidirectional electromagnetic valve 13 is provided, which valve 13 is adapted to electrically open for several ten seconds after a compressor starts operation, and to close thereafter. Since, upon start-up, the oil in an oil separator 3 passing through the pipe 12 instead of the oil cooler 4 to be of a large resistance when it passes therethrough, the oil supply to the body 1 increases. It is thus possible to moderate the temperature rise of discharge air on turning-over to total load operation from start-up.
