Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase a load reduction effect by shutting off piping from an oily component separation tank to a valve-opening side chamber of a capacity adjustment device, introducing piping leading to a valve-closing side chamber for communication in a very brief period of time after starting and placing a compressor in a loadless state when the pressure of the oily component separation tank is very low.
CONSTITUTION: If a starter switch is put in "ON" position, causing an electric motor to operate Y, electromagnetic valves 70, 71 are not excited until completion of switching Y-Δ with the assistance of a timer, so that the pressure of an oily component separation tank 4 directly enters a valve-closing side chamber 9 passing through an electromagnetic valve 70. In addition, piping in a reducing valve 10 and a valve-opening side chamber 11 is shut off, causing the valve-opening side chamber 11 to communicate with a suction side chamber 13. For this reason, a negative pressure from the suction side chamber acts on the valve-opening side chamber 11 and the pressure of the oil component separation tank 4 closes a valve 2 without fail at a low pressure of approx. 1.5kg/cm2 under a geometrical effect of a load by the said negative pressure and a load working on the valve-closing side chamber. As a result, a compressor is without a load. The time involved is approx. 1.5sec after starting and therefore, a load at time of starting can be reduced.
