Abstract

CONSTITUTION: One end of cylinder 8, which is in contact with cam ring 2, is connected to the discharge side of the pump via oil supply path 11. Sequence valve 12, which shuts oil supply valve 11 and release the pressure in cylinder 8 to oil tank 13 when the pressure inside oil supply path 11 has reached a preset value, is provided in the midway of oil supply path 11. Thus, when the pressure in oil supply path 11 has reached to preset value, oil supply path 11 is shut and at the same time the pressure in cylinder 8 is released. At the same time, a restoring force is applied on spring 5, and the amount of discharge is reduced nearly to zero at the time of the maximum pressure, and as a result energy losses can be prevented.
