Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the overheating of a catalyzer converter in an exhaust system by providing an electromagnetic valve to intercept the fuel in a low speed fuel passage during the reduced speed operation of an internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: Near a throttle valve 3 provided in a suction passage 2, a slow port 4 and an idle port 5 connected to a low speed fuel passage 6 are opened, and in the passage 6, an electromagnetic valve 9 provided with a valve element 7 and others is arranged. To this electromagnetic vavle 9, the first pressure switch 13 into which the suction pipe negative pressure in the downstream of the throttle valve 3 is introduced through a pipe 17 and the second pressure switch 14 into which the compressed air from an air pump is introduced are connected. When the suction pipe negative pressure in the time of speed reduction is suddenly increased, or when the number of revolutions is increased over a certain level to promote the discharge pressure of the air pump over a certain level, electric contacts 18 and 20 for switches 13 and 14 are respectively intercepted to demagnetize a coil 8, and the passage 6 is closed by the valve element 7.
