Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an operating efficiency by obtaining a system which permits air/fuel ratio to rise quickly up to theoretical air/fuel ratio values so that engines may enter the feed-back-control condition as soon as the operating condition varies from the open-control area to feed-back-control area in terms of air/ fuel ratio.
CONSTITUTION: With an engine under operation μ COM10 in a control circuit inputs the output from a censor group 15 of an exhaust gas censor 7, a revolution censor 8, an inlet air pressure censor 9 and a water temperature censor 15, and processes it by using a microprocessor 100 in order to output a control signal to regulate the open/close ratio of a solenoid valve 5 in an air introducing passage 3. At the same time, the microprocessor 100 examines operation conditions in order to start a time counter when the operation condition varies from open to feed back control condition. The electromagnetic valve 15 is set in such a way that the air/fuel ratio becomes rare if a count C is smaller than C0, a prescribed value, while the air/fuel ratio approaches a theoretical air/fuel ratio if C is greater than C0.
