Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent clogging of a burner without causing any low temperature corrosion in the burner equipment by connecting a cooling air supply pipe with a steams atomizing burner so that burner may be cooled by the cooling air when the operation thereof is stopped. CONSTITUTION:An air supply pipe 20 is connected with a purge steam pipe 21 for supplying purge steam. To stop the operation of a burner 2, first of all, a fuel supply valve 1 nd a steam supply valve 5 are closed to cut off the supply of fuel F and steam S, and then a purge steam supply valve 12 is closed for 2-5min to purge the fuel F remaining in the burner 2. After the purge steam supply valve 12 is shut off, the burner is moved back and then an air supply valve 22 is opened so as to supply cooling air into the burner 2 to cool it thus preventing any damage to the burner 2 by the heat and hot air in the furnace.
