Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the ground connection by supporting and fixing a corona discharge device and a grid electrode between supporting plates and holding a prescribed interval against a photosensitive drum, respectively, connecting electrically a shield electrode of the corona discharge device, and the photosensitive body, to the first supporting plate, and the first rotation axis, respectively, and also, grounding both of them through the first rotation axis. CONSTITUTION:A corona discharge device 8 and a grid electrode 11 are supported by supporting plates 5a, 5b, and an interval to the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 of each of them is held with high accuracy. Also, a shield electrode 9 of the corona discharge device 8 is connected electrically to rotation axis 3a consisting of a conductive material, through the supporting plate 5a consisting of a conductive material and a bearing 6a, and also, the photosensitive drum 1 is also connected electrically to the rotation axis 3a through a contact 13. Accordingly, by grounding only the rotation axis 3a, the corona discharge device 8 and the photosensitive drum 1 are grounded simultaneously. In such a way, the ground connection of the corona discharge device and the photosensitive body can be simplified.
