Abstract

1330424 Corona charging device PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 19 April 1971 [21 Feb 1970] 22067/71 Heading G2H [Also in division H1] An insulative layer (not shown) situated between a plurality of annular deflection electrodes 21 of positive polarity and a flat plate suction electrode 11 of the same polarity is negatively charged by means of a plurality of negative corona needle electrodes 3 situated within an earthed cylindrical counter electrode 5, around a positive corona needle electrode 7 and above the deflection electrodes 21. Suction electrode 11 may be provided with current measuring probes 29. A plate electrode 25 may be situated below suction electrode 11.
