Abstract

PURPOSE:To completely detect the serious abnormality of a microcomputer by comparing in a fixed cycle the check codes received from the microcomputer with the standard codes stored in a memory. CONSTITUTION:An interruption is applied to a microcomputer 10 by the interruption signal (a) received from an interruption generating device 60 which produces the interruptions in a fixed cycle. Thus the microcomputer 10 stops temporarily the run of a prescribed program and carries out a check program stored in a 1st memory 20. As a result, a check code is outputted from the microcomputer 10 and compared with a standard code stored in a 2nd memory 30 by a comparing device 40. When no coincidence is obtained between both codes, a comparison signal (b) is delivered from the device 40. Then the microcomputer 10 is stopped by a freeze signal (c) received from an error processing circuit 50 after reception of the signal (b).
