Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an air-fuel ratio from being partial to its rich or lean side by, when a bypass control valve provided on a passage to bypass a mechanical supercharger has been changed over from an opened state to a closed one, making asynchronous fuel injection after a fixed time elapses from the time of the above-mentioned changing over. CONSTITUTION:An intake passage of an internal combustion engine is provided with a mechanical supercharger 1 which a crankshaft rotates to drive through a belt or the like, and moreover formed with a bypass passage to bypass the supercharger 1, and a bypass control valve 2 is insertedly provided on its way. A bypass control means 3 controls the bypass control valve 2 on the loading conditions of the engine. The above-mentioned device is provided with a changing over time detecting means 4 to detect the time when the bypass control valve 2 has been changed over from an opened state to a closed one. A timer means 5 measures that fixed time has elapsed from the above-detected changing over time, and an asynchronous fuel supply means 7 controls a fuel injector 6 to asynchronously inject the fuel after the fixed time.
