CONSTITUTION:When a recording medium 1 with low rigidity such as a magnetic sheet and a magnetic tape is moved from right to left, a head fitting disk 2 arranged in parallel to the recording medium 1 is on the recording medium 1 and rotates. On a head fitting disk 2, three optical heads 3, 4 and 5 are arranged at the position of respective 120 deg. and recording and reproducing are executed along a guide groove 10 in a circular arc alternately to a recording area 8 on the recording medium 1. Consequently, continuously, the signal is recorded and reproduced. Thus, the high density recording and reproducing can be executed.
