CONSTITUTION:The auxiliary magnetic heads A' and B' are set to a rotary head drum 1 at the areas close to main magnetic heads A and B having a 180 deg. space. The heads A and A' have the gaps of the same azimuth, and at the same time the heads B and B' have the gaps of the same azimuth. The two tracks are put close to each other with the adverse azimuth to each other and recorded laternately on a magnetic tape. This tape is forwarded by a track pitch, and the reproduction is carried out in the standard speed at the tape shifting section by the heads A and B. In the pause section of the tape, the field still reproduction is carried out by the heads A and A' or B and B' which are coincident with the recording azimuth of the track at the pause position.
