PURPOSE:To obtain excellent slow-motion reproduced pictures by preventing the lowering of a reproduction output for slow-motion reproduction, by selecting a greater output between two adjacent magnetic heads differing in azimuth angle and by outputting by switching head outputs. CONSTITUTION:On a guide ring 1, the 1st and 2nd magnetic heads A and B differing in azimuth angle by about 180 deg. mutually are arranged and in the same rotating plane with the heads A and B, the 3rd and 4th magnetic heads A' and B' are provided adjascent to the heads A and B.
