Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress decrease in level, and to make a reproduced output at double reproduction excellent by the provision of the same types of heads corresponding to the same type of azimuth at almost the same height of position of 180 deg. of a rotating head board. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd heads 21, 22 making normal recording/reproduction are fitted to a rotating head board 20, and the 3rd head 23 having the same azimuth and same height at the position of 180 deg. of the head 21 is fitted. When tracks A1, A2, A3 recorded with the head 21 are reproduced in double speed, the tracks A1, A2, A3 are traced alternately with the heads 21, 23. The envelopes for reproduction output are taken as alternately 21, 23, 21 to suppress the decrease in the level.
