Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a video-signal recording and reproducing system, in which tracking of videodisk is achieved by recording reference tracking signals in spaces formed between adjacent two information tracks, whereby provision of guide groove for scanning stylus can be made unnecessary, and at the same time, it is enabled to operate the system at a higher speed.
