Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled durable steel sheet having plating layers which are not easily eluted in alcohol and exhibit a corrosion preventing effect over a long period even when alcohol undergoes deterioration, by forming different upper and lower plating layers each having a specified thickness on a steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:A first plating layer of Ni or Ni-Fe having 0.5-10mum thickness is formed on at least one side of a steel sheet and a second plating layer of Ni or Ni-P different from the first plating layer and having 0.5-10mum thickness is formed on the first plating layer by electroplating or other method. The plating layers are preferably an Ni-Fe alloy layer as the first layer and an Ni or Ni-P alloy layer as the second layer or an Ni layer as the first layer and an Ni-P alloy layer as the second layer. By this structure, a steel sheet having plating layers provided with workability necessary for forming into a tank as well as corrosion resistance to fuel can be obtd.
