Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductor having high critical temperature and excellent stability of the characteristics, etc., by introducing at least one kind of element into a superconductor substance (or its precursor) by ion implantation and heat-treating the product. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of specific element is introduced by ion implantation into a part or total of a superconductor substance (or its precursor) composed of e.g. a group IIIa element, a group IIa element of the periodic table, copper and oxygen. A superconductor having uniform and stable composition can be produced by the heat-treatment of the above product. The specific element used in the above process is preferably selected from F, Cu, Ba, Sr, Y, La, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu. The part to introduce the specific element by ion implantation may be restricted to a specific pattern.
