Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconductor having high density easily, by coagulating melted oxides consisting of elements for constituting the oxide superconductor to a desired shape by cooling, then heating the coagulated product in the atmosphere contg. oxygen. CONSTITUTION:Oxides of elements constituting an oxide superconductor are melted, and then coagulated by cooling to a desired shape. The coagulated product is then heated in O2-contg. atmosphere to obtain a superconductor. Perovskite type oxide superconductors contg. an Ln element (at least one kind among Y, La, Sc, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu), AE element (at least one kind among Ba, Ca, and Sr), and Cu are used recently effectively because superconductors having >=100K critical temperature of superconductivity are obtd. from said compsn. The heat-treatment described above is executed usually at 300-700 deg.C, and improved superconducting characteristic is obtd. by cooling slowly down to about 300 deg.C.
