Abstract
PURPOSE:To prolong the life by making the side wall of a battery jar in double construction, filling the space between side walls, and thereby suppressing reduction of water content in the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:Side walls 4, 5 of a battery jar 6 in which a group of electrode plates consisting of positive pole plate 1, negative pole plate 2, and isolator 3, are made in double construction, and the space between side walls is filled with water 7. Thereby the water between side walls 4, 5 suppresses reduction of water content in the electrolyte, and supply of the water 7 to the electrode plates retains well contact of electrode plates 1, 2 with isolator 3.
