Abstract
PURPOSE:To prolong cycle life by charging and discharging by furnishing grooves at each surface of a neg. electrode plate, quickening dispersion of oxygen gas, and suppressing reduction of electrolyte due to insufficient absorption of the oxygen gas. CONSTITUTION:Longitudinal grooves are provided at each surface of a neg. electrode plate 2. This quickens not only dispersion of oxygen gas to the surface mating with a battery jar 4 but also dispersion of oxygen gas coming through a separator 3. Therefore, the oxygen gas reaches the neg. electrode plate 2 quickly to facilitate oxygen cycle reaction. This quick occurrence of oxygen cycle reaction suppresses generation of hydrogen at the neg. electrode quickly. This suppresses dispersion of water in the electrolyte to outside the battery.
