Abstract

PURPOSE:To fast and surely break a program by using a circuit which switches the SWI instructions held by a memory circuit for input with a signal supplied from outside and performing the replacement of program words. CONSTITUTION:A monitor circuit of a control circuit CONT detects an address where a program to be broken is stored and produces a trigger signal TRG to transmit it to a microprocessor MPU. The MPU switches a multiplexer MPX to the side of a pattern generating circuit PTG when the signal TRG is set at a high level. Thus a program word is replaced with an SWI instruction stored in the circuit PTG and supplied to an FIFO.
