Abstract

PURPOSE:To form entry addresses for different microinstructions in case of a specific addressing mode and other modes by modifying the entry address of a microinstruction at the time of the specific addressing mode. CONSTITUTION:The entry address of a microinstruction corresponding to a machine instruction is formed by an instruction decoder 21. When the addressing mode is a register direct mode, a register direct mode signal (b) is '1' and a selection signal (d) is '0', so that a register direct mode signal (e) outputted from a multiplexer 24 goes to '1'. Since a control signal (f) is '1', an address modification signal (g) goes to '1' and an entry address (a) is modified by an address modification circuit 26. When the addressing mode is no the register direct mode, the signal (b) goes to '0' and address modification is not executed.
