Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve magnetic characteristic of coercive force, etc., by applying impact by rigid ball to mixed material of alloy powders composing of rare earth element, transition metal, B and specific metal. CONSTITUTION:The alloy powders shown by R-T-B-M are mixed to two or more kinds of metals. Wherein, R is the rare earth element, T is the transition metal of Fe or Fe and Co as main elements and M is at least one kind among Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta and W. Impact is applied to the mixed powder by a rigid ball and powders are combined or dissociated to make uniform composition of the alloy. By this mechanical alloying, the rare earth element magnet powder having excellent magnetic characteristic is obtd. By heat treating this alloy powder at 500-900 deg.C, further high magnetic characteristic is obtd.
