Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the gap of magnetic materials with high accuracy, by detecting the quantity of the magnetic flux changing in accordance with the size of the gap between the magnetic materials by a secondary coil as a voltage value which value is in turn subjected to the operation for compensating for errors. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic cores 4 and 5 are tightly secured to the upper surface of a pressed work 2, so that a magnetic circuit is formed by a permanent magnet 3, the magnetic cores 4 and 5 and the passed work 2. The pressed work 2 comes in a saturated condition by a magnetic flux Z1 passing within the pressed work 2. In this state, when an oscillator 6 is operated to allow alternating current to flow to a primary coil 8, a magnetic flux Z2 of alternating current is generated. The magnetic flux Z2 of alternating current passes through the pressed work 2 into within a press mold 1, generating a magnetic induction voltage in a secondary coil 9. The voltage Vi generated in the secondary coil 9 is reduced by the increase of the magnetic resistance as the gap S becomes larger. Thereafter, the value of the voltage in the secondary coil 9 is subjected to the calculation for compensation for errors, and consequently the gap S can be measured with high accuracy.
