Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the contents of cobalt, by press-forming a test piece by a material powder and detecting the variation of magnetic flux by this test piece. CONSTITUTION:Material powder composed to tungsten carbide powder and cobalt powder is formed into a test piece 1 by pressurizing by applying vacuum in a mold and carrying out press-forming. An exciting coil 2 and a detection coil 3 detecting the variation of magnetic flux are provided with measuring apparatus and the piece 1 is placed in the magnetic flux formed by the coil 2. An exciting coil 12, a comparison coil 13 and a core material 11 are provided with a comparation circuit and the coil 3 and the coil 13 are differentially wired and then, wired coils are connected with an amplifier 14. AC voltage is applied to the coils 2 and 12. Output of the amplifier 14 is given to cathode-ray tubr indicator 15 and the content of cobalt of the piece 1 is shown by a height of a wave. A phase shifter 16 may be provided as required in order to control the position of the wave on the indicator 15.
