Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a casting without hot tearing and deformation by forming thin part with a core for hole a cast as slidable and releasing the core for hole as cast before the other part in a mold releases. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal is filled up into a cavity 7 after clamping dies 1, 2 at right and left sides. Next, after passing the prescribed time, the core 13 for core as cast is retreated by a cylinder unit 12 as keeping the clamping condition of the dies 1, 2 and at first, the thin part for nuckle arm W is released. Further, then after passing the prescribed time, a moving table is retreated to separate the dies 1, 2 and nock-out pins 9 are ejected by working cylinder units 11, 11 to push out the nuckle arm W in the casting. In this result, as the casting comes to release at the time when the surface layer in the casting changes to solidified layer, the hot tearing and deformation deformation is prevented without relating to any casting shape. Further, as the dies 1, 2 does not receive any damage, too, the service life of the dies can be drastically extended.
