Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an injection casting device which can prevent occurrence of defects effectively, by installing a movable part to a part of the metallic mold which forms the cavity, and by applying pressure to the molten metal in the cavity by pressing the movable part.
CONSTITUTION: Cavity 3 is filled with the molten metal which is supplied by injection cylinder 5 through sprue 4. In this case, movable part 2a of top metallic mold 2 is elevated at a prescribed location (shown by the broken line) which is higher than the location of normal product shape by pressure cylinder 6. Then, after cavity 3 is filled with the molten metal, a pressure is applied to the molten metal by means of injection cylinder 5 and, at the same time or after a prescribed time has passed, thick part 3a of cavity 3 is pressed by pressure cylinder 6 through movable part 2a of top metallic mold 2. Movable part 2a is lowered until the shape of normal product is obtained and the molten metal is solidified.
