Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide complete magnetic shield by forming an oxide film on the surface of a substrate whose surface is formed of nickel or nickel alloy, and forming a shield layer made of oxide superconductor thereon. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting electromagnetic shield (shield) 1 is formed with an oxide film 3 on a substrate 2 made of nickel or nickel alloy, and formed on the film 3 with a shield layer 4 made of oxide superconductor. The oxide superconductor for forming the layer 4 exhibits complete diamagnetic by Meissner effect in a magnetic field of critical magnetic field of less at critical temperature or less. Thus, the layer 4 can completely intercept the electromagnetic wave to completely electromagnetically shield it.
