Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable free variation of a balance between amounts of air under a stoker and air on an air-cooled wall, by a method wherein a return duct, through which a part of cooling air is sucked out, is situated to the air-cooled wall of an incinerator, the return duct is connected to the air feed line of the stoker, and a part of cooling air in the air-cooled wall is fed in the incinerator. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of the incinerator wall of an air-cooled wall 8 is high and there is a need to feed a large amount of cooling air to a cooling chamber 9 of the air-cooled wall 8, a damper 13 of an air-cooled wall blower 11 is opened to feed a large amount of cooling air to a cooling chamber 9. Meanwhile, a damper 15 of a return duct 14 is widely opened, cooling air in the cooling chamber 9 is sucked out in the return duct 14, and the amount of air flowing into an incinerator from the front of the cooling wall 8 is suppressed. A damper 7 is regulated so that a forced blower 5 compensates for an air amount by which an amount of air fed to a position below a stoker 2 through the return duct 14 is insufficient. As noted above, by means of the opening angles of the three dampers 7, 13, and 15, a balance between an amount of air charged into the incinerator from the air-cooled wall 8 and an amount of air charged into the incinerator from a position below the stoker can be regulated.
