Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain a stirred and floated condition of a particulate fuel for a long period of time and burn the fuel at high efficiency and high output by generating vortexes throughout a combustion chamber into which the particulate fuel is introduced and combustion chambers connected to said combustion chamber.
CONSTITUTION: The particulate fuel in a hopper is supplied into a fuel supplying pipe 13 by a screw and is ejected into the combustion chamber 1 together with an airflow which is generated by a blower. The combustion chamber 1 is also supplied with the primary air from the blower through a primary air supplying pipe 12 separately from the fuel, so that the fuel is stirred and floated in the form of a vortex. then, the combustion gas containing light ashes is introduced into the secondary combustion chamber 3 through a connecting port 25 at an axial part, the secondary combustion chamber 3 being connected to the tertiary combustion chamber 4 by a connecting port 26 at a circumferential part. The secondary and tertiary combustion chambers 3, 4 are supplied with vortex airflows respectively through a secondary air supplying pipe 28 and a tertiary air supplying pipe 29, whereby the stirred and floated condition of the fuel is maintained.
