Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of a repeated thermal stress by eliminating a temperature difference generated at a furnace wall by continuously or intermittently reversely supplying gas or air in a boiler from a rear flue into a furnace during banking. CONSTITUTION: A unit is stopped, and during banking an air preheater gas inlet damper 11 and an air preheater air outlet damper 9 are closed. And, an inlet damper 15 and an outlet damper 16 are also closed. Changeover dampers 19, 20 are opened, a gas recirculating fan 14 is operated, gas in a lower part of a furnace 1 is sucked from a gas recirculating duct 13, and introduced into an exhaust gas duct 10 and further to a rear flue 3. The gas or air in the boiler is reversely fed from the flue 3 to the furnace 1. And, gas of high temperature in an upper part of the furnace 1 and the flue 3 is fed to a lower part of the furnace 1 to prevent bold gas or air from flowing thereto. Accordingly, during banking, a furnace wall temperature difference is eliminated.
