Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent traversing crack of a cast slab and to improve the yield of casting by vibrating a nozzle for supplying molten metal into space of one pair of shiftable molds toward casting direction and also shifting facing faces of the one pair of molds to casting direction. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 17 stored in a tundish 14 is supplied into the gap between the molds 11 through a nozzle 15 and continuously cast toward the arrow mark 30 direction At the side wall of reversed side to the nozzle 15 in the tundish 14, an actuator 21 of vibrator, etc., is set and the nozzle 15 is vibrated along the casting direction at the prescribed amplitude and the prescribed cycle.
