Abstract

PURPOSE: To fill molten metal to all corners of molds before it freezes, eliminate defects such as shrinkage, misrun, etc. and improve quality by giving vibrations to the molds having been poured with molten metal.
CONSTITUTION: Molten metal is poured in the cavity 10 of the metal molds 9, 9' mounted to a bed plate 7 in a pouring station 11. Before the molten metal freezes, the molds are setnt to the next exciting station 1. Then, an excitor 4 starts vibrating by the transfer confirmation signal. Acceleration of gravity is applied to the molds so that the molten metal reaches all corners of the cavity 10 of the mold while the molten state progresses to a semi-molten state. The excitation is stopped by a timer and the molds are sent to the next station 1'. Even here, excitation is started by the transfer confirmation signal in the same manner as before, whereby the adjustment before freezing from the semi-molten state to a solid state is accomplished.
