Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the maintaining of detection accuracy even under such a condition as not to meet room temperature requirements of a liquid to be measured, by thermally shielding a light source and a light receiving section from a light waveguide having a bending at least in an optical path while contacting a liquid to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A sealing is made by a rubber member 5 so as not to keep the temperature of a liquid 4 to be measured from transmitting to an upper light emitting element 2 and a light receiving element 3 through an optical fiber 1 and air and a holder 6 of the elements 2 and 3 is made of a resin material excellent in the chemical resistance, such as Zylon and Teflon. This enable the suppression of a heat conduction from the liquid 4 thereby maintaining a detection accuracy even under such a condition as not to meet room temperature requirements of the liquid 4.
