PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution and improve the reliability of a structure by installing a flame guide plate which causes an objective flame of detection to approach the detecting end of a temp. sensor for detection of incomplete combustion at the time of complete combustion and to separate from the detecting end of the sensor at the time of incomplete combustion. CONSTITUTION:The part near the top part of the inner flame of an objective flame F of detection projecting in an inclined posture in the stationary combustion condition comes in contact with the detecting end of a thermocouple 12 to generate a large electromotive force and keep a solenoid safety valve for the cutoff of fuel gas in open condition. On the other hand, when oxygen deficiency occurs and incomplete combustion condition is brought in, the flame F is displaced upwards by a lift phenomenon and the promoting action of the upward flow of secondary air. Consequently, at the time of incomplete combustion the heating of the thermocouple 12 is decreased to reduce the electromotive force and the solenoid safety valve is closed to cutoff the fuel. By this constitution, the constitution of a structure can be made simple and its reliability can be improved.
