Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce foul odor and improve the turndown ratio by a method wherein a secondary air port is installed at a place facing the opening of an atomizing chamber in a wind box and a tertiary air port is installed at a place facing a combustion space in the entitled apparatus such as a boiler, etc. and the primary and secondary air can be switched over. CONSTITUTION:At the time of ignition, most of the air from a combustion fan 3 is sent to a supply duct 17 for tertiary air through an air supply duct 19. A part of the air passes through an opening 25, an orifice B, and an air distributing chamber 20 and is supplied to an atomizing chamber 1 from a secondary air port through a supply duct 16 for the secondary air. A small amount of air throttled by the orifice A of the chamber 20 is supplied to a primary air port from a supply duct 11 for primary air. At the time of stationary combustion, a slide valve 21 is moved to increase more primary air amount than that at the ignition time and reduce the secondary air amount. At the time of fire extinction, the primary air amount is throttled by a slide valve 21. By this constitution, the reduction in foul odor and a high turndown ratio can be attained.
