Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the NOx concentration by causing a stable lean combustion even if there are load changes by providing a swirl generator which generates a swirl of a mixture of fuel and air and has multiple ejecting holes that eject the swirl at a predetermined ejecting speed, and by controlling the ejection speed for combustion. CONSTITUTION:Part of the compressed air supplied to the annular flow passage formed by the combustor outer shell 101 and the combustor 102 is directly supplied into the combustor 102 through a louver 112 disposed in the combustor 102, and cools the combustor 102. The rest of the compressed air is supplied to the first wind box 106 and the second wind box 107 as combustion air. The flow regulating valve 113 for the combustion air supplied to the first wind box 106 controls the flame by a controller 117 which receives flow signals from the first and second fuel flow rate regulators 115, 116 so that the flame may exist near to the low speed swirler 104 or high speed swirler 105, and the NOx concentration at the outlet of the combustor 102 may be optimized.
