Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent rise of volume resistivity of an electric charge generating layer under low humidity by incorporating a wetting agent in the charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body has a laminate type photosensitive layer composed at least of the charge generating layer containing the wetting agent of a polyol, preferably, such as glycerine or triethanolamine, and a charge transfer layer. The charge generating layer is formed by dispersing a charge generating material into a solution containing a binder resin, adding the wetting agent soluble in the solvent to be used at a proper time, and coating with it, thus permitting rise of the volume resistivity of the charge generating layer under low humidity, and accordingly, deterioration of electron transferability and sensitivity to be prevented.
