PURPOSE:To obtain an alloyed cast iron excellent in toughness and wear resistance, by specifying a composition consisting of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Ti, Mo, and Fe. CONSTITUTION:An alloyed cast iron has a composition consisting of, by weight, 2.5-3.5% C, 0.5-1.5% Si, 0.5-1.5% Mn, <=3% Ni, 10-25% Cr, 5-20% Ti, <=3% Mo, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and combines toughness with wear resistance, and further, this alloyed cast iron is suitable for material for rolls for rolling, etc. In the above Ti-containing high-chromium cast iron, relatively large amounts of Ti are added to a high-chromium cast iron combining high strength with wear resistance and large amounts of fine and granular MC carbides are crystallized out without segregation, by which wear resistance as well as toughness is improved.
