Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title wear-resistant intermetallic compd. type alloy having excellent toughness and machinability by specifying the composition of the alloy consisting of Ni, Co, Re, Si, Hf, and Ti. CONSTITUTION:The wear-resistant intermetallic compd. type alloy contains, by atomic fraction, 47-53% of one or two kinds between Ni and Co, 0.05-2% Re, 0.01-1% Si, 0.1-2% Hf, 0.1-3% of >=1 kind of component among the Zr, Fe, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, and Mn for improving the wear resistance, as required, and/or 0.1-2% of >=1 kind of component among the P, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, Cd, In, Sn, Sb, Pb, and Bi for promoting the toughness, further contains the balance Ti and inevitable impurities, and has excellent toughness and machinability. Accordingly, when the alloy is applied to various wear-resistant parts, crazing and cracking are not caused in machining, and an excellent performance can be exhibited for a long period when the obtained product is practically used.
