Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain superior damping capacity in a wide temp. region by using a two-component alloy consisting of a specified amount of Cu with the balance Fe or adding Cr, Al, Ni, Mn, Sb, etc. as secondary components.
CONSTITUTION: This alloy is a two-component alloy consisting of 0.01W5wt% Cu with the balance Fe. To the composition may be added 0.01W40wt% in total of ≥1 kinds among <40wt% Cr, <10wt% each of Al, Ni, Mn, Sb, Nb, Mo, W, Ti, V and Ta, <5wt% each of Si, Sn, Zn, and Zr, and <1wt% each of Co, Pb, C and Y.
