Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the quantity of liquid accurately, by insulating a container cap and the main body of the container, and measuring electric capacitance generated between the container cap and the main body of the container. CONSTITUTION:On a main body 11 of a metal container, a metal container cap 12 is sealed in a vacuum state through an insulator 13 and a gasket 14. The main body 11 and the cap 12 are fixed with a fastener 18 so that the insulation is kept with an insulator 17. A terminal 19 and a terminal 20 are fixed to the main body 11 and the cap 12 so as to connect them electrically. The terminal 19 is grounded. Electric capacitance between the terminal 19 and the terminal 20 is measured. The electric capacitance varies in accordance with the quantity of liquid. Thus, the quantity of the liquid is accurately detected.
