Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily measure the extent of rectilinear propagation by the forcible intrusion of a pile member along the estimated driving line with of the pile member high accuracy by projecting a laser beam in parallel to the estimated driving line and measuring the distance from the reception position of the beam to the pile member. CONSTITUTION:A laser oscillator 10 is installed at a distance l0 in front from the estimated driving line 1 of a steel tube sheet pile 5, and a target screen 13 is installed at a specific distance and at a distance l0 from the estimated line 1 so that the laser beam 11 strikes on the center 13a of a target. Then a laser photodetector 14 is provided on the side of the pressing-in sheet pile 5. Plural photodetection sensors are arranged longitudinally in the center of a photodetector main body 15 to form a laser diffusion surface so that the beam 11 is easy to see when striking. Then the position of the photodetector 14 is adjusted so that the beam 11 strikes on some of the photodetection sensors. Then the tip 20a of a scale member 20 provided to the main body 15 is made to abut on the sheet pile 5 and the distance from the beam 11 to the tip 20a is read on the scale 20. The driving position of the sheet pile 5 is corrected so that the distance is l0.
