Abstract

PURPOSE:To make fatigue resistance and wear resistance good under high load and high speed sliding condition by integrally piling sintered alloy containing copper as main component and the specific quantities of lead and tin as back-up metal to steel plate. CONSTITUTION:A copper base sliding bearing material is constituted by integrally piling the sintered alloy containing 14-20wt.% lead, 4-10wt.% tin and the balance copper as the back-up metal to the steel plate. This material is obtd. by spreading the alloy powder having the above composition on the steel plate as the back-up metal and executing the rolling-reduction after sintering this under reducing atmosphere at about 750-800 deg.C and further burning. This material does not develop fatigue failure and abnormal wear even under high load and high speed sliding condition.
